When I was based in Belize in the jungle, I managed a fleet of ageing Land Rover ambulances that were retrofitted with aircon as part of the medical plan. If the smallest cog failed on the ambulance it resulted in ‘no med-over’, meaning, no exercise: a whole battleground (1000s of troops) could not deploy. Every cog counts!
