What is EngTech?
As an EngTech, you will be able to prove your skills in the development, production and maintenance of all kinds of equipment, vehicles, products, plants and processes. As an experienced EngTech, you take on supervisory roles and contribute to improving design, maintenance and manufacturing in your sector.
The EngTech title shows that you are a skilled professional with a high level of technical knowledge. SOE is committed to ensuring members gain access to the qualification that is right for them. You will need to demonstrate, through your application, that you meet the standard required.

Hear from our sector specialists
My involvement with SOE has been extremely positive and rewarding. As a member of both the IRTE Professional Sector Council and the Membership and Professional Standards Committee, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the organisation while supporting and guiding fellow engineers.
I researched the organisation and was impressed by the amount of resources and support it gives, especially to young engineers, so I applied for an apprentice membership and have continued since then, even after completing my course.
