INITA (Independent National Inspection & Testing Association) is a professional trade association representing Independent Engineering Examination and Testing companies (operating outside of the main-stream Engineering Insurance Market). The focus is the provision of statutory compliance, periodic inspection & testing of engineering plant & equipment, usually required in support of our client’s commercial insurance contracts for example – Lifting Equipment – subject to LOLER Regulations, Pressure Systems – subject to PSSR Regulations, and Local Exhaust Ventilation – subject to CoSHH Regulations. INITA members also provide a range of engineering consultancy services to Industry, Insurance Companies and Solicitors, such as: Expert Witness, Accident Investigation resulting from plant failure, Metallurgy, Proof Load Testing and Prior to Purchase Valuation & Inspection. INITA members derive their professional reputation and credibility by maintaining a strict independence and impartiality with respect to the inspection and testing services they provide. INITA members do not install, maintain, repair, or refurbish any of the engineering plant & equipment they examine or test. INITA was formed, and exists, to provide mutual support, technical information and training for our members.
