Norscot Truck & Van Ltd irtec partnership with New College Lanarkshire shows both committed to high standards.

New College Lanarkshire has expanded its irtec accreditation offering by building a partnership with Norscot Truck & Van Ltd. Since delivering its first irtec accredited technician to a commercial vehicle dealership in 2017, the college has produced more than 60 further HGV technicians in its Aberdeen, Inverness, Dundee and Perth dealership locations.

Paul Stirland, Work Based Assessor at New College Lanarkshire, said: “Technicians each benefit from the inspection accreditation status in different ways but many speak of their pride in gaining the industry benchmark standard. It also shows that they are committed to the high standards that are placed on them by the industry regulator.”

MOT first time pass rates have improved to 98.7% for Norscot Truck & Van Ltd, which has also reported a rise in customer satisfaction ratings. It has given technicians the confidence to improve their skills and target the next level of accreditation.
